These superconductors offer rapid charging/discharging within seconds, open failure mode to eliminate short circuits, easy installation with automatic mounting, and pick and place capability. KEMET Electronics Supercapacitors approach infinite charge/discharge cycles with very little deterioration of capacitance or cycle life and are maintenance-free. Typical applications include a real-time clock, energy harvesting, test equipment, and industrial control.
